Watertown Patch Transparent for WebThe Watertown Police Department is excited to announce the upcoming "Community Police Academy" for Spring 2024! If you've ever been curious about law enforcement or simply want to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes, this is the perfect opportunity for you.
Join us from March 26 to May 14, 2024, every Tuesday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 PM.
***Attention*** by popular demand two weeks have been added!
This course will provide valuable insight and understanding of law enforcement topics ranging from:
· Roles and Responsibilities of Detective, Patrol, and Traffic Operations.
· Learn about the crucial roles of School Resource Officers and Community Policing.
· Explore Legal Issues that shape law enforcement.
· Gain insights into Police Officer Training and Use of Force policies.
· Learn about crime trends occurring in your community.
· Provide feedback on issues that matter to you and your loved ones.
Preference will be given to first-time registrants, so don't miss your chance to be a part of this unique experience.
To be eligible, you must be 16 years or older (16 and 17-year-olds will need written guardian's permission).
Free for all Watertown residents and business owners.
