BANK ROBBERY

 75 MAIN STREET

WATERTOWN, MA

 

On Wednesday June 1, 2016 at 1239 hours the Watertown Police responded to the Santander Bank at 75 Main Street on a report of a bank robbery. Bank employees activated their bank alarm in addition to customers calling 911.

The suspect entered the bank and approached teller, initially speaking in Portuguese. He then began speaking English and demanded that the teller hand over money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect left the bank out the Main Street entrance and fled on foot westbound on Main Street.

The suspect is described as a 6’ 00” male, dark facial hair, wearing a dark colored jacket, dark pants, Boston Red Sox baseball hat, dark sunglasses and grey sneakers.
