Two Men Arrested in A&A Service Station Armed Robbery

On 01/25/10 Officers responded to 600 Main St., the A&A Service Station for an Armed Robbery.   The attendant stated three suspects followed him into the office and kept asking him if they could use the phone. The attendant stated that they could use his I PHONE, but he had to charge it in his vehicle.  The Attendant entered his vehicle from the driver side while suspect 1 entered through the passenger side door and sat down next to him using his phone.  The Attendant stated that the 2nd suspect then approached him from his left side standing over him and pressed a hard object through his clothing against his body.  The 2nd suspect stated “don’t move, I’ll blow your brains out”.  The attendant stated that he did not see a firearm but believed that suspect had a gun.  Suspect 2 then reached into the attendants hooded sweatshirt and retrieved his wallet and set of keys.  Suspect 2 then walked away while suspect 1 exited his vehicle and took his I PHONE.  All three suspects then ran towards Essex St.  A suspected vehicle involved was a late model tan Honda Accord with three mounted baseball caps in the rear window.

As a result of the follow up investigation of the robbery and video footage obtained from the A&A Service Station, WPD detectives issued an informational police bulletin to be on the look out for the three described male suspects and a vehicle involved.  On 02/07/10 Massachusetts State Police contacted the Watertown Police Station and advised that they believed he had the vehicle stopped that was involved in the armed robbery.  Watertown Officers responded and positively identified Shondell Jenkins and Frank Jenkins Jr as being suspects involved in the armed robbery in Watertown.  Shondell Jenkins and Frank Jenkins Jr were placed under arrest and transported to the Watertown Police Department.
